Beijing (VNA) – Chief Judge of the Supreme People's Court of Vietnam Truong Hoa Binh and his Chinese counterpart Cao Jianming discussed measures to enhance procuracy ties in a pragmatic and effective manner during their working session in Beijing on November 24.

Procurator-General of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate of China Cao Jianming welcomed the Vietnamese delegation to the ninth ASEAN-China Prosecutors General Conference slated for November 25 in Nanning city, Guangxi province.

He noted that the two agencies have strengthened criminal judicial assistance and shared experience in anti-corruption since they signed a cooperation agreement in 2012.

He asked for a normative cooperation mechanism in judicial support in criminal cases, especially at border provinces, to step up the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China.

The Vietnamese chief judge said the two sides have arranged a number of activities to enhance bilateral procuracy partnership under the 2012 cooperation agreement.

He proposed increasing all-level delegation exchanges, personnel training, crime prevention, and mutual judicial assistance in criminal matters in the coming time.-VNA
