Vietnam and China should coordinate closely in friendship activities to further promote their comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in line with their shared motto and guidelines, Vietnam ’s party chief said.
Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh met with Wang Jia-rui, member of the Communist Party of China’s Central Committee (CPCCC) and Head of the CPCCC International Liaison Department in Hanoi on March 1.
He welcomed the Chinese party delegation’ visit to Vietnam at the beginning of the lunar new year and the results of the delegation’s working session with the Commission for External relations of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee.
The Vietnamese party chief said the two countries should work together to help their localities carry out activities of the “Vietnam-China Friendship Year” practically and effectively.
He took this occasion to laud socio-economic achievements that the Chinese Party, Government and people have recorded during their course of building socialism with Chinese characteristics.
Wang said he was happy to visit Vietnam and conveyed New Year greetings from China ’s Party and Government leaders to Vietnamese Party and State leaders.
The Chinese guest asserted that the Chinese Party and Government leaders and the people always place importance on developing the traditional friendship and neighbourliness with Vietnam .
He affirmed China ’s determination to work together with the Vietnamese Party, State and people for the “China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership” to unceasingly grow.
He vowed that his department will collaborate closely with the Vietnamese partner in enhancing the two countries’ ties.
Earlier, Wang held talks with Hoang Binh Quan, Head of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations.
They informed each other of the situation of their respective parties and discussed cooperative measures between the two organisations with the aim of implementing high-level agreements effectively.
While in Vietnam , the Chinese party delegation paid a working visit to the central province of Nghe An./.
