The Vietnam Journalists Association (VJA) and the All-China Journalists Association (ACJA) will further promote bilateral cooperation through professional exchanges to raise the effectiveness of respective country’s press activities.

The agreement was reached between leaders of the ACJA and Head of the Vietnamese Ministry of Information and Communications’ Press Department Hoang Huu Luong at a recent working session in China.

While in China from July 6-12, Luong, who is also member of the VJA Standing Committee, held separate working sessions with the State-run China Central Television (CCTV), the China Radio International (CRI) and major press groups such as the Beijing Daily Group, the Guangzhou Daily Group, and the Wenhui Xinmin Associated News paper Group. The sessions focused on professional skills and experiences in the management and organisation of press and publishing activities.

During the week-long visit, the VJA delegation visited the Chinese Foreign Ministry’s International Communications Centre and met with the ministry’s spokesperson Hong Lei in which both sides emphasised the importance of the press in promoting the exchange, cooperation and mutual understanding between the two peoples./.
