Senior Vietnamese and Chinese officials have stressed the need to further enhance cooperation in theoretical issues between the Communist Parties of the two countries in the coming time.

It was set out at talks in Beijing, China on July 26 between head of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee’s Propaganda Department Liu Qibao and head of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee’s Commission for Popularisation and Education Dinh The Huynh, who will be in Dalian city, Liaoning province from July 27-29 to attend the 9th theory workshop.

They also agreed to cement exchanges and cooperation between the two sides and media outlets to enhance understanding, mutual trust and friendship between the two peoples.

Huynh, who is also Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, met with First Secretary of the C PC Central Committee Secretariat Liu Yunshan. He underlined that the CPV, State and people of Vietnam always attach importance to strengthening and developing ties with China.

He said he believes the strengthening of friendship, improved efficiency of equal and mutually beneficial cooperation in various realms, and proper settlement of existing and emerging issues following the spirit set out in joint statements and documents signed during CPV General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President Truong Tan Sang’s visits will further drive Vietnam-China ties forward.

Liu Yunshan made it clear that the Party and Government of China treasure the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership with Vietnam.

He said he believes the upcoming workshop will help enrich theoretical issues regarding Party building, including the working manners of Party officials and the fight against corruption in each nation.

According to him, experience sharing is essential to the development of socialism in each country.

During the visit, head of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations Hoang Binh Quan worked with Director of the CPC Central Committee’s International Department on ways to advance future links between the two Parties.-VNA
