Vietnam, with six gold, 7 silver and 12 bronze medals, ranked third at the 2 nd Southeast Asian Karate-do Championship which was held in Pampanga, the Philippines from April 18 to 21.

According to the Vietnamese team leader Vu Son Ha, the team has met the targets at both the junior and elite divisions.

Young artists grabbed 3 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze medals while the senior karatekas contributed 3 more gold medals to the national team’s final results.

This year’s tournament has brought together 200 karatekas from 8 countries. Malaysia came first with 11 gold, 8 silver and 7 bronze medals and Indonesia second with 9 gold, 5 silver and 10 bronze.-VNA
