Three more cases of A/H1N1 flu were confirmed in Vietnam on June 22, bringing the total number of patients nationwide to 52, according to the Health Ministry.

The newly-detected cases include a 16-year-old Australian tourist who arrived in Hanoi ’s Noi Bai International Airport on June 20, and two women, born in 1964 and 1779, who returned from Australia to Vietnam on June 19, landing at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City .

Of the total 52, seven cases are local people infected due to contacts with patients arriving from abroad while 45 others are visitors from the US , Australia , Thailand , the UK and Canada .
So far, 20 patients, including 19 in Ho Chi Minh City and one in Hanoi, have already recovered and been discharged from hospital. The remainder of patients are in isolation for treatment, all in stable condition.

The Health Ministry warns that as the number of H1N1 patients will continue increasing, people should take preventive measures by keeping good personal hygiene and refraining from travelling to or from epidemic areas./.
