Vietnam congratulates South African Communist Party on 100th anniversary

Pretoria (VNA) – Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations Le Hoai Trung has cabled a congratulatory message to the South African
Communist Party (SACP) on the occasion of its 100th founding anniversary.
In the message, Trung hailed the birth of the SACP
is an important milestone in the fight for national independence of African
people in general and South African people in particular, and praised the party's contributions to the South African people's cause of national building.
He expressed his belief that with the time-honoured revolutionary tradition and support of the public, the SACP will continue
reaping more successes in the cause of national construction, for the sake of
peace, independence, democracy and social progress, and for the benefit of the
entire South African people.
Talking with a Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reporter,
SACP’s spokesperson Dr. Alex Mashilo spoke highly of the presence of representatives from the Vietnamese
Embassy in South Africa and VNA reporters at the celebration of the party's anniversary amid the COVID-19
pandemic, which he said is evidence of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s
attention to the international communist movement as well as its support for
the SACP.
He noted that the two Parties have facilitated the regular
exchange of high-ranking delegations and
cooperation at bilateral and multilateral forums to discuss the situation of
each side./.
