Vietnam, Cuba cooperate in rice production

During the course, Vietnamese expertswill introduce Cuban farmers techniques in rice production fromcultivation and irrigation to care, said Alexander Miranda, Director ofthe province’s Rice Experimental Centre.

The courseis part of a cooperation programme to promote rice production in Cubanbetween the two countries, which also brought Vietnamese specialists toother seven provinces of Cuba . The programme is scheduled to go onuntil 2015.

Miranda said the Vietnamese side will also assist his country to develop its rice varieties./.

Quang Tri province mobilises resources for fisheries infrastructure

The provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to prepare an investment proposal for upgrading and expanding the Con Co storm shelter in Con Co special zone. The project has a total investment of 400 billion VND (15.4 million USD) and is scheduled to be implemented from 2026 to 2028.
