Vietnam - Cuba increase defence ties

During the visit, Lieutenant General Nguyen Quoc Khanh held talks with Senior Lieutenant General Alvaro Lopez Miera, Chief of the General Staff of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces.
The two sides discussed bilateral cooperation between the two armies and agreed to boost cooperative ties in the fields of each side’s strength.
The Vietnamese delegation also laid a wreath at the monument of Cuban national hero Antonio Maceo and visited several army units, military schools and some cultural sites in Havana./.
