Vietnam and Cuba will exchange radio and television programmes in order to increase mutual understanding in all areas.
This was stated in agreements signed between Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) and Vietnam Television (VTV) with the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television (ICRT) within the framework of the Cuban Radio and Television Festival which opened in Havana on September 9.
They also agreed to promote the exchange of delegations to share experience, enhance cooperation in personnel training while accelerating the production of cooperative programmes to introduce the culture, land and people of each country as well as the Vietnam-Cuba friendship.
Following the signing ceremony, leaders of the two countries’ media agencies shared their views that the agreements will contribute to consolidating the traditional ties between the two countries and promote each country’s socio-political situation and cultural identities.
The Vietnamese media agencies are among more than 40 international and Cuban media groups attending the festival.
The festival, which will last until September 14, provides an opportunity for participants to share professional skills while expressing their viewpoints on integration.-VNA
