A 3,000 member delegation of Vietnamese youngsters have left Hanoi to join the second Vietnam-China Youth Festival in China from November 24-27.

The delegation will be divided into seven groups who will spread across seven Chinese cities to attend the activities, which include visits to several historical sites associated with the Vietnamese revolution and President Ho Chi Minh.

They will participate in a seminar on industrial development, field trips to several Chinese factories, cultural and sports events and environmental protection activities.

The delegates will then gather in Nanning city for the main part of the festival, including a congress of the Vietnam-China Youth Festival and a tree planting programme.

With major activities taking place across the country, the festival is considered a practical activity to further consolidate the friendship, mutual trust and understanding between younger generations of Vietnam and China.

The event is also expected to contribute to bolstering the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.-VNA
