Vietnamese enterprises did not dump wind turbine towers on the US market, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Le Thanh Nghi on Feb. 9.
In reply to questions raised by reporters about Vietnam ’s reaction to the US Department of Commerce’s decision to investigate alleged dumping of this Vietnamese product, the spokesman said the decision was groundless and did not reflect the real situation of the manufacturing and trading of these products in Vienam.
The decision went against US commitments made during the 19 th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in the US in November 2011 to promote green growth and facilitate international trade.
Nghi called on the US Department of Commerce to handle this issue in an objective, fair manner in line with the spirit of trade liberalisation, multilateral commitments and the good economic and trade relations between Vietnam and the US./.
