Many foreign investors and enterprises hope to find partners not only in Vietnam but also from abroad when they join in the 21 st Vietnam International Trade Fair (Vietnam Expo), which opened on April 6.
At the opening ceremony, General Director of the Hanoi-based Republic of Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Sun Seong Ki, affirmed that Vietnam Expo is one of the fairs drawing the most attention of RoK businesses. The number of RoK enterprises attending this year’s exhibition increased twofold compared to last year, which manifested Vietnam market’s attraction and potential, he said.
Cuban enterprises presenting at the exhibition expressed their wish to find cooperative opportunities with Vietnamese counterparts in the fields of transport, medicine and wine making. The representative of Cuba ’s Quality Couriers International Company, Felipe Puig said the company wants to cooperate with Vietnamese enterprises in constructing roads in big cities of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City . The company is being involved in the building of Cau Gie-Ninh Binh expressway and the East Truong Son Road .
Around 50 Indian enterprises attending the exhibition for the first time said their top interest was to seek trade and investment cooperation with Vietnamese businesses.
Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Thanh Bien stressed Vietnam Expo is a bridge between Vietnam and foreign investors, which helps boost export as well as domestic trade, thus actively contributing to Vietnam’s international integration.
Vietnam Expo 2011, themed “ Vietnam - Integration and Development”, draw the participation of 600 enterprises from 20 countries and territories and will last till April 9./.
