The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) will meet with a representative from European football giant Manchester City for a collaboration plan in the future, said VFF Chairman Le Hung Dung.

The meeting has been scheduled for February 9, during which the two sides will discuss the establishment of a football academy run by Manchester City in Vietnam, Dung added.

They will also talk about other issues, such as PR and marketing, brand name development and the scale of the training centre for young players.

According to the VFF chairman, the English team has seen its Vietnamese fans triple in the last three years.
