Deputy Director General of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) Hoang Thi Diep led a delegation to visit France from Sept. 20-27 to discuss bilateral cooperation programmes.

French relevant agencies and the VNAT agreed to increase investment in tourism and create favourable conditions for travel agents of both countries to meet and talk about cooperation possibilities.

The French side will send its businesses for study tours to Vietnam and help Vietnamese travel agents take part in tourism programmes in France .

They also exchanged views on solutions to develop tourism combined with cultural heritage sites and cooperation between tourism schools and establishments of both countries.

On the occasion, host and guest inked two memoranda of understanding to intensify their future cooperation in tourism.

During the visit from Sept. 20-27, 13 Vietnamese businesses attended the Top Resa tourism festival in Paris, which attracted over 1,500 enterprises from foreign countries.

French people were interested in Vietnam’s promotion tours on the occasion of the capital city of Hanoi’s 1,000 founding anniversary./.
