Frankfurt (VNA) – Enterprises from the German state of Hessen see potential to invest in Vietnam, heard a conference held by the Economic Council of Germany’s Christian Democratic Union (CDU) in Frankfrut am Main on April 24.

The event was attended by nearly 40 businesses from Hessen state.

Carola Paschola, an official from the CDU’s Economic Council, briefed attendants about economic cooperation between Vietnam and Germany. Also, Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany Doan Xuan Hung highlighted Vietnam’s standout achievements and investment opportunities in the country.

Vietnam and Germany have enjoyed fruitful relations after 40 years of diplomatic relations, with the two countries upgrading ties to a strategic partnership in 2011.

Germany is a leading economic partner of Vietnam in Europe while Hessen state has made huge contributions to elevating cooperation between the two nations.

The economic collaboration is shored up by the Vietnamese people community in Germany as well as German leaders and business communities’ interest in investing in the Southeast Asian country.

At the conference, German enterprises also shared their stories of successful operation in Vietnam.-VNA
