Vietnam helps Congo produce malaria medicine
The Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology is cooperating with
Congo ’s Ministry of Science and Technology in producing Artemisinin
medicine for malaria under a contract worth 1 million USD signed between
the two sides.

medicine for malaria under a contract worth 1 million USD signed between
the two sides.
Under the contract, the academy will support the Congo side in growing; harvesting and preserving the yellow-flower artemesia plant, and in Artemisinin extract techniques from the plant.
The academy will also help its partner to build a laboratory and a medicine production line with a capacity of 3 million doses per year along with providing it with production technology and staff training.
As scheduled, the medicine production plant in Congo will be inaugurated in August 2012./.
