Vientiane (VNA) – The Agricultural Technical Service Centre of Xieng Khouang province in northern Laos was inaugurated on December 16.

The centre was built with the non-refundable assistance from the Vietnamese government and people.

The 1.8ha centre, which has a total capital of 33 billion VND (1.5 million USD), includes a two-storey building with a hall of 100 seats, a dining room for 120 people, housing for trainees and a showroom.

It aims to help Xiang Khouang boost training and consultation capability as well as transfer of technology to farmers, thus promoting agro-forestry production and improving locals’ living conditions.
