Two foreigners and a Vietnamese, who have made contribution to the development of Vietnam’s culture, sports and tourism were presented with insignias at a ceremony held in Hanoi on Oct. 12.
They are Malyshev Vladimir Sergeyevich, Rector of the Russian University of Cinematography, and David Marmel, President and Doan Thi Kim Hong, Vice President of the Mrs World Organisation.
Addressing the function, Malyshev Vladimir Sergeyevich thanked the Vietnam’s cultural, sport and tourism sector for its recognition of his contribution.
He also pledged to make more contributions to strengthening the Vietnam-Russia strategic partnership, especially in cultural training.
Malyshev Vladimir Sergeyevich has contributed to the success of the Russian Days in Vietnam and the Vietnamese Days in Russia from 2007-2011.
His university has helped trained many Vietnamese students in the field of cinematography, including directors, screen writers, cameramen and artists.
Meanwhile, David Marmel and Doan Thi Kim Hong played an important role in the organisation of Mrs World pageant in Vietnam in 2009. The contest helped bring Vietnam image to foreign friends.-VNA
