Vietnam wants to continue cooperating with World Bank (WB) in projects on public investment reform, financial-banking sector, business system restructuring and infrastructure.

National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said this on July 25 in Hanoi when receiving the visiting Vice President for East Asia and Pacific region of the WB, Pamela Cox.

Ngan spoke highly of WB’s valuable support to Vietnam over the past time, especially in the improvement of management capacity, technical assistance, mechanism establishment and policy consultancy.

Cox highly valued Vietnam’s efforts in stablising its macro economy, saying that it is the first time she has visited Vietnam since she undertook her position in January this year.

The WB will continue helping Vietnam overcome challenges in socio-economic development. It will also assist the country in achieving the development goals, she said.-VNA
