Vietnam-Hungary bilateral relations, especially in national defence, will be further promoted after the latest visit to Hungary by a delegation of Vietnam ’s defence ministry from April 15-17.
During the working trip, the Vietnamese defence officials met with the Hungarian Defence Minister, Imre Szekeres and attended a cordial reception hosted by Istvan Simiesko, President of Hungary’s National Security Committee.
They also met with a high-ranking delegation led by State Secretary of Defence Vadai Agnes on measures to promote national defence cooperation between the two countries.
The delegation also held working sessions with officials from Hungary ’s Ministry for National Development and Economy, its army logistics companies and Infantry Brigade No. 25.
The visit is seen as another move to strengthen the friendship and bilateral cooperation in national defence between Vietnam and Hungary .
It is expected to bring opportunities for closer cooperation in army technical insurance, logistics and equipment provision, clearance of unexploded ordnance and mitigation of the impact of war in Vietnam./.
