HCM City (VNA) – The 22nd Vietnam International Trade Fair (Vietnam EXPO 2024 HCMC) opened in Ho Chi Minh City on December 5.

The three-day event is expected to bring together global businesses, entrepreneurs and industry leaders to showcase innovative products and services under the theme of 'Solutions for the Modern Lifestyle'.

This year’s expo emphasises products enhancing convenience, efficiency, and eco-friendliness in daily life, featuring sectors like smart consumer goods, home appliances, and sustainable home and garden solutions.

Over 800 businesses from 20 countries and territories, including the US, Germany, the Republic of Korea (RoK), Japan, and Thailand, are participating in the expo. Highlights include the RoK's national pavilion showcasing health care, cosmetics, and high-quality electronics, and Sri Lanka's pavilion featuring gemstones, tea, and cultural heritage products.

The event offers seminars and live product demonstrations, such as discussions on AI and IoT applications and trends in Vietnam’s 2025 architectural landscape. Attendees can also join site tours of industrial projects and creative DIY activities.

The fair integrates related exhibitions, including the Vietnam Supporting Industry Products Exhibition and the 9th International Hardware and Hand Tools Exhibition. Together, these events foster cross-industry collaboration and provide networking opportunities for local and international businesses.

Nguyen Thi Kim Ngoc, Deputy Director of the city's Department of Industry and Trade, said that the Vietnam Supporting Industry Products Exhibition continues to accompany Vietnam EXPO 2024. The collaboration aims to strengthen links between Vietnamese manufacturing and processing industries and both domestic and international partners./.
