Minister of Public Security Gen. Tran Dai Quang on February 24 held talks with his Israeli counterpart Lt. Gen. Yitzhak Aharonovitch, during which they expressed their hope to continue strengthening cooperation in security, criminal prevention and the judiciary.
Speaking at the Hanoi talks, Gen. Quang highly valued the Israeli delegation’s first official visit to Vietnam, saying that it will help enhance the two ministries’ friendship and multi-faceted partnership.
He thanked the Israeli ministry for its effective collaboration with the Vietnamese side in the fields of security and policing.
Lt. Gen. Aharonovitch suggested the two ministries soon sign a Memorandum of Understanding on their cooperation in the time to come.
The two ministers agreed to coordinate in drafting agreements on criminal prevention, extradition and the transfer of sentenced persons.
Both expressed their hope that the two ministries will expand their partnership in fire fighting and prevention, rescue and prison management.-VNA
