The Vietnam-Japan Extensive Strategic Partnership has developed in all areas. Japan is currently the second biggest investor and the fourth largest trading partner of Vietnam.
Vietnam and Japan set up diplomatic ties on Sept. 21, 1973. The two countries lifted up their ties to extensive strategic partnership in 2014 from reliable, stable, long-term partnership in 2002.
Experiences of Vietnam and Japan in making social security policies were shared at a seminar held by the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) in Hanoi on October 9.
