Vietnam joins Francophone film festival in France

Theyare “Sinh menh” (The Destiny) by director Dao Duy Phuc and screenwriterNguyen Manh Tuan, and “Chuyen cua Pao” (Pao’s story) by director andscreenwriter Ngo Quang Hai.

“The Destiny” tells about the sacrificesof revolutionary fighters who laid down their lives for nationalindependence, freedom and unity.

“The Story of Pao” depicts the lifeof a beautiful H’Mong girl named Pao in the northwestern mountainousarea. The film won a Golden Kite award in 2005 and was presented at theCannes films festival in 2007.

During the four-day film festivalthat will last until March 25, 37 short and feature-length films,documentaries and cartoons selected from 25 countries will be screenedas part of International Francophone Day (March 20).-VNA

Project on digital transformation in cultural sector approved

By 2030, the project targets the establishment of shared digital platforms across 100% of cultural sectors. All digitised cultural heritage will be standardised under the national data framework and shared in accordance with regulations, while 80% of public digital heritage assets are expected to receive digital identifiers to clarify ownership and management, encouraging organisations and individuals to do the same and support market development.
