part in the first-ever regional youth media festival hosted by the
non-governmental organisation Plan, which concluded in Bangkok,
Thailand, on October 4.

The Vietnamese participants, who came from two juvenile reporters’ clubs in central Quang Binh and northern Phu Tho provinces, brought to the festival seven short films, 10 pictures, two video clips and one collection of stories about fighting child physical and metal abuse.
The two-day festival, entitled “Young Hearts: Youth Arts and Media Festival”, drew the participation of 76 other children aged between 10 and 17 from Bangladesh , India , Indonesia , the Philippines and Thailand .
The festival displayed children’s communication and art productions, including films, television and radio products, music shows, short stories and poems.
In addition, the participants had a chance to introduce their national cultures as well as share information and opinions on children’s rights and ways to prevent violence against children.
During seminars, they learnt about how to identify school violence and to tell the truth of this problem.
Plan is a non-governmental organisation working in 66 countries and territories, including 13 Asian nations, to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and ensure children’s rights./.
