Officials of the Ministries of Planning and Investment of Vietnam and Laos met in a conference in Vientiane, Laos, on March 14 to devise their cooperation plan for 2014-2015.
Vietnamese Minister Bui Quang Vinh and his Lao counterpart Somdi Duong di were among those present.
They agreed to work more closely together in organising respective investment promotion campaigns, clearing bottlenecks for licensed projects and overseeing the two countries’ cooperation agreements.
Increasing visit exchanges and professional training will be part of their future cooperation agenda.
To date, Laos has granted licences to 412 investment projects totaling over 5 billion USD from Vietnam, ranking the neighbouring country second among foreign investors.-VNA
