The Vietnam Television (VTV) presented professional equipment to the Lao National Television (LNTV) in Vientiane on January 30 with an aim to help the latter improve its capacity.
The 100,000 USD aid package, including three cameras and spare parts, were within a cooperation memorandum of understanding inked between the two sides in 2014.
LNTV General Director Boun Chao Phichit thanked the Vietnamese Party and State in general and VTV in particular for their assistance to LNTV over the past years.
VTV has supported LNTV in various aspects from infrastructure and equipment to personnel training, which demonstrates the two countries’ comprehensive cooperation, he added.
VTV Deputy General Director Tran Dung Trinh said VTV will continue to help the Lao side build broadcast framework, promote channels, and produce advertisements in the time ahead. It will also give training to LNTV’s staff members from now to 2017.-VNA
