The Ha Tinh People’s Committee and the authorities of Bolykhamsay province in Laos on July 26 held an inauguration ceremony for border marker No. 476.
After five months of construction, the one tonne 1.6 metre high granite landmark has been completed at the Cau Treo-Nam Phao international border gate.
It is located between the international gateway in Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province and Nam Phao in Kam Cot district, Bolykhamsay, near Highway 8A, which is an important artery for socio-economic development, security and the defence of both Vietnam and Laos .
Landmark No. 476 symbolises the solidarity, mutual trust and special friendship between the two countries as well as their determination to build a joint border of peace and sustainable development for both countries./.
