Vietnamese and Lao experts gather at a workshop on October 26 in Hanoi to boost cooperation in human resource training towards meeting the requirements of the two nations’ industrialisation, modernisation and international integration.

The event was co-chaired by Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Public Administration Ta Ngoc Tan and Lao Deputy Director of the National Academy of Politics and Public Administration Bunnkhong Lakhamsai

It aimed to present opportunities for scientists from Laos and Vietnam to exchange and seek ways to realise the guidelines of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) on training and building capacity for officials.

Participants shared the view that the two parties have continuously worked to bolster mutual cooperation in training human resources for their respective political systems.

Besides cooperating in university and post-university training, Vietnam has trained thousands of Lao officials, enhancing their capacity, they said.

The Vietnam-Laos special relationship and cooperation in personels has drawn special interest among experts from the two nations, they reiterated.

The partnership between the two parties in human resource training has become more and more urgent in the context of industrialisation, modernisation and international integration, delegates said.

The quality of research should also be enhanced to lay a scientific foundation for the two nations in planning and issuing relevant policies, they underscored.-VNA
