Bouasone Bouphavanh, head of the Lao Party Central Committee's Commission for Economic Development Strategy Research, met with Vuong Dinh Hue, head of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s Central Committee’s Economic Commission during his visit to Vietnam.

At the meeting, Hue shared Vietnam’s economic reform experience over the past 30 years as well as introduced important issues concerning social-economic sectors which are intended to be submitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam’s 12th Congress.

Hue touched upon important points in Vietnam’s future social-economic development strategy and economy restructuring policy as well as highlights and lessons from Vietnam’s current social-economic development.

For his part, Bouasone Bouphavanh informed Hue of the social-economic development situation in Laos and the main points in the Political Report draft for the 10th Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party.

The two sides also discussed the global and regional economic situation.

During its five-day visit, Bouasone Bouphavanh and his entourage will meet with the Association of Vietnamese Investors in Laos.

They also had a working session with the Ho Chi Minh City’s Party Committee to learn from experiences in building social-economic development strategies and plans, attracting foreign investment capital, managing industrial and economic zones and structuring the city’s economy.-VNA
