The Vietnamese Party, State and people will do best to unite with Laos to bring the bilateral ties to a new height for mutual benefits and for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

Vietnamese Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh made the remark while receiving in Hanoi on July 25 a senior delegation from the Commission for External Relations of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee, headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the commission Thongloun Sisoulith.

General Secretary Manh highly valued the results of the talks between commissions for external affairs of the two Parties and praised their active contributions to boosting the Vietnam-Laos traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation.

Deputy PM Thongloun Sisoulith expressed his thanks to Vietnam ’s cooperation and assistance to Laos ’ national development and expressed his wish that relations between the two countries would be constantly developed.

Earlier, the Lao delegation had talks with a senior delegation of the Commission for External Relations of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, headed by the commission’s Chairman Hoang Binh Quan.

The two sides informed each other about their countries’ situations and exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concerns.

They also worked out measures to implement agreements between the two countries’ leaders in order to further enhance the Vietnam-Laos special ties./.
