Attending the opening ceremony were Lao Minister to the PM’s office Somphong Mongkhonvilay, Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry (MoIT) Nguyen Thanh Bien and his Lao counterpart Khemmani Pholsena, Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Ta Minh Chau and relevant enterprises.
120 Vietnamese businesses are represented among 250 businesses that set up 350 pavilions at the fair.
The event attracted many people from Vientiane and neighbouring provinces with its wide variety of goods ranging from pharmaceutical, industrial and building materials to processing food, textile and interior decor products.
Also in the framework of the fair, Vietnam MoIT and Laos Ministry of Industry and Commerce held seminars to introduce their business environments and discuss trade cooperation as well as promote their national images.
The trade fair will last until Dec. 5./.
