Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam suffered their second loss at the AFC U19 Women’s Football Championship on October 19 in Nanjing, China.

The team lost 0-5 to the Republic of Korean rivals in a match at Jiangsu Training Base Stadium.

Kim Soeun scored a hattrick while Mun Eun-ju and Kim Eun-soul netted one goal each for the Korean side to maintain their ability to compete in the sem-finals.

A final Group B match against Japan on October 22 will decide the Koreans’ ultimate fate. This means they can also keep alive their hopes for a fifth successive FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup appearance.

Vietnam, on the other hand, remains at the bottom of the rankings. They will next face Australia who played Japan on October 19.-VNA
