The German travel company Gebeco on Oct. 16 held a night to introduce Vietnam and Mekong tourism within the framework of the freshly-ended 2009 Asia-Pacific Week in Berlin .

During the night, visitors were presented with popular tourist destinations, cultures and tourism services, as well as countries along the Mekong river, including Cambodia , Laos , Thailand and Vietnam .

The company also informed the guests about air routes from German to Thailand and Vietnam, local air routes, as well flights from Vietnam to Phnom Penh and Siem Reap of Cambodia and Vientiane and Luang Prabang of Laos.

Gebeco, Germany’s second largest travel agency, operates in 16 fields, including culture, research, exploring, adventure and religious tourism, bringing thousands of German tourists to Asia, Africa and South Africa annually.

The 2009 Asia-Pacific Week, which was held from Oct. 7-16, focused on promoting “Mekong countries’ tourism”, “Day of Mekong countries” and “Asian rail and land routes”./.
