Vietnam-Mexico two-way trade increases

Two-way trade between Vietnam and Mexico reached more than 915 million USD in 2010, a year-on-year increase of nearly 28 percent.

Mexico remains one of Vietnam ’s important trading partners in Latin America, the Trade Office of the Vietnamese embassy in Mexico and the Mexican Ministry of Economy announced on April 9.

Of the trade value, Vietnam exported goods worth nearly 836 million USD to Mexico , up more than 36 percent. Its main export products were garments, footwear, seafood, printing machines, machinery, electrical equipment, children’s toys, sports equipment and wooden furniture.

Vietnam imported nearly 80 million USD worth of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, electronic spare parts, scrap steel and plastic, cotton, fish paste and beer, down nearly 22 percent compared to the previous year./.
