Vietnam, Monaco look to expand cooperation

Vietnam and the Principality of Monaco should boost cooperation in agriculture, infrastructure, finance and banking, on the back of their growing economic ties, Vice State President Nguyen Thi Doan said.

She made the remarks during her reception for the Chairman of the MimRanGroup of Monaco, Nachson MimRan, in Hanoi on April 9, citing thetwo-way trade value of 1 billion USD between Vietnam and Monaco.

TheVietnamese leader affirmed that Vietnam’s investment environment isfavourable with stable security and expressed her hope to see the MimRanGroup to early formulate an investment plan in Vietnam so as to helpfacilitate both countries’ exports.

The MimRan Group Executivesaid as engaged in a wide range of business lines, he is eager forinvesting in Vietnam, especially in agriculture, real estate andfinance./.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung described the visits as particularly important and historic, taking place at a meaningful moment as Vietnam and India mark the 10th anniversary of their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and just one month after the top leader of Vietnam assumed his new position.
