Hanoi (VNA) – The Netherlands wishes to expand relations with Vietnam, including cooperation in peacekeeping activities between the two countries’ armies, said Dutch Ambassador to Vietnam Nienke Trooster.

The diplomat made the remark during a meeting with Deputy Defence Minister Sen. Lieut. Gen Nguyen Chi Vinh in Hanoi on March 14 when she led a delegation from the Netherlands’s Ministry of Defence to visit the Vietnamese senior officer.

She said defence cooperation between the two countries has contributed to enhancing bilateral ties.
