Vietnam will create all possible conditions to help Dutch enterprises, including those in the agriculture sector, operate effectively in the country, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat has said.
Minister Phat stated this during his June 17 talks with Dutch counterpart Sharon Dijksma in Hanoi, during which the two sides discussed measures to foster cooperation in agriculture between their countries.
Phat said Vietnam and the Netherlands have cooperated intensely and efficiently in all fields, especially in agriculture, stressing that the two countries will continue supporting each other towards creating deeper ties in the field in the future.
Dijksma noted the two nations have similarities in agricultural production and they have set up partnership to further promote this sector.
She also pointed out several issues related to the strategic partnership between the two countries in developing agriculture, ensuring food security and social welfare, and fostering export.
During the talks, accompanying Dutch businesses also expressed their hope to bolster all-round links with Vietnam, especially in foodstuff production for cattle and meat processing and production.
They said there are many Dutch enterprises operating in Vietnam in growing clean vegetables, providing greenhouse technology, irrigation and drainage systems and developing fertiliser production and energy saving.
