As a leading multi-media agency in Vietnam, the VNA has kept both domestic and foreign readers updated with the country’s important political – diplomatic events via new forms of media.

All of the nation’s significant events have been covered by the VNA, including the 13th National Party Congress in February 2021 and the organisation of the Party congresses at all levels towards the event in 2020.

Particularly, the VNA gave an insight into how Vietnam successfully fulfilled its ASEAN 2020 Chairmanship amid formidable challenges caused by the global and regional situations, as well as the COVID-19 pandemic, and left lasting impressions on foreign friends.

Besides political and diplomatic events, the COVID-19 outbreak, flooding and drought across the nation have received full coverage of the agency.

Since the COVID-19 ravaged the whole world in March 2020, VNA reporters, with their enthusiasm and devotion, have been present at hotspots, making contributions to popularising the Party, State, Government and people’s efforts in realising the “dual goals” of effective pandemic prevention and economic recovery.

Together with other frontline forces in the COVID-19 battle, VNA reporters have been vanguards in the media front. Regardless of grave dangers, they have come to the epicentres to deliver latest news to the readers, helping the flow of mainstream news never cease.
