Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Bac Son and Niger’s Minister of Communication, New Information Technologies and Culture Salifou Labo Bouche have expressed wishes to enhance the two countries’ information and communication links, especially in telecommunications.
At their bilateral talks in Hanoi on March 25, Son said he hopes the two ministries will strengthen cooperation, and share State management experience in opening telecommunication market and building legal corridor in the field.
Son also expressed his hope that Bouche will create all possible favourable conditions for Viettel, Vietnam’s leading telecommunications firm, to implement investment projects in the African country.
He also suggested the two sides explore cooperation possibilities in publishing, especially the reciprocal provision of free copyrights.
Links in information technology (IT), including software and IT services, production of computers and electric-electronic appliances, human resources training and network safety were also discussed.
Bouche stressed the need to develop telecommunications in Niger . He said the Government and authorities of Niger will create the most favourable conditions for Viettel to work in the country, for the benefits of each side.
