Vietnam opens second consulate general in Russia

The Vietnamese Consulate General officially opened in Ekaterinburg, the capital city of Russia ’s Sverglovsk province, on September 21.

This is Vietnam ’s second consulate general in Russia , after the first one in Vladivostok .

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Thanh Son affirmed that the opening of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Ekaterinburg was an important milestone in the Vietnam-Russia relationship.

Vietnamese Ambassador Bui Dinh Dinh said that the Consulate General will bridge the economic-trade, investment, culture and education relations between Vietnamese businesses and partners in Russian in general and in Ekaterinburg in particular, thus serving the benefits of the two countries’ people.

During their working visit to Ekaterinburg from September 19-22, Deputy Minister Son and Ambassador Dinh had a working session with the city’s Mayor and met with the Vietnamese community there./.
