The Paraguay - Vietnam Chamber of Trade, Industry and Culture was established in the Southern American country on August 30.

In the witness of President Fernando Lugo, Foreign Minister Jorge Lara Castro and Minister of Industry and Trade of Paraguay Francisco Rivas, Vietnamese Ambassador to Paraguay Nguyen Van Dao along with 15 founding members signed an agreement to establish the organisation.

Addressing the ceremony, Ambassador Dao affirmed that the two countries’ relations are recording finer development than ever, underlining that the event is of great significance on the occasion of Vietnam’s 66 th National Day (Sept. 2).

The ambassador said he believed the organisation would serve as a bridge to help the two countries’ people and business communities strengthen mutual understanding and promote cooperative potentials, economic cooperation and experience sharing.

Pompeyo Lugo, President of the Paraguay – Vietnam Chamber of Trade, Industry and Culture affirmed that Vietnam and Paraguay share similarities such as a spirit of solidarity, love of labour and peace which ae a solid foundation for the two sides to share mutual understanding and experience./.
