Vietnam ranks first at Southeast Asia Pencak Silat tourney
Vietnamese Pencak Silat artists won five gold, three silver and
one bronze medals, ranking first at the second Southeast Asian Pencak
Silat Championships in Malaysia recently.

Vietnam carried off gold medals in the men’s 50kg, 70kg, 75kg and 85kg, and in the women’s 65kg.
The tourney, which took place from July 9-16, drew the participation of eight teams from Brunei , East Timor, Indonesia, Malaysia , Myanmar , Singapore , and Vietnam .
They competed in two events of Seni and Tanding for men and women.
Vietnam sent 11 martial artists to the event./.
