Vietnam stands ready to assist Laos in training inspectors, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung told visiting Lao President of the Government Inspection Authority Bounthong Chitmani in Hanoi on July 7.

PM Dung assured Bounthong, who is also Secretary of the Lao Party Central Committee and head of its Commission for Inspection, that the government of Vietnam always facilitates cooperation between the two inspectorates.

Inspection not only helps uncover negative occurrences but strengthen the State management also, the Vietnamese leader stressed.

He expects for more visits by the two government inspectorates to forge their productive links.

Bounthong informed his host of the outcomes of his visit, including the sharing of experience in inspection, the settlement of complaints and denunciations, and anti-corruption work.

Laos also wants to learn from Vietnam’s experience in socio-economic development, he said, vowing that his authority will work closely with the Vietnamese counterpart.

At a reception for Bounthong, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and head of its Commission for Inspection Ngo Van Du welcomed his guest’s visit, saying that it presents both sides a chance to learn from respective professional experience and set forth major tasks for the coming time.-VNA
