Vietnam records no more COVID-19 cases for 4 consecutive days

To 6:00 pm on April 20, Vietnam had not recorded any new case of COVID-19, and 12 more cases were declared cured, according to the National Steering Committee on COVID-19 Prevention and Control. This means the country has zero cases to report for four consecutive days.

Hanoi (VNA) – To 6:00 pm on April 20, Vietnamhad not recorded any new case of COVID-19, and 12 more cases were declaredcured, according to the National Steering Committee on COVID-19 Prevention andControl.

This means the country has zero cases to report for four consecutive days.

There are now only 54 patients being treated at nine medical facilities.

Across the country, 111 laboratories are now capable of detecting the SARS-CoV-2 that causes COVID-19.
Among them, 39 have been given the go-ahead to conductconfirmatory tests. Their maximum capacity is 13,000 samples per day.
The committee askedministries and sectors to urgently review and issue more guidelines andregulations to further ensure safety amid the pandemic.
It underlined the responsibility oflocalities nationwide in the work, saying that they must do well their inspectionand supervision of the implementation of disease prevention regulations andinstructions, especially at supermarkets, markets and stores. /.

Vietnamese scientists unlock genetic insights into rare diseases

All People’s Health Day promotes early disease prevention

The launch marked the first year the activity has been implemented in a coordinated manner nationwide. Free cancer screening, health checks to benefit 10,000 people in Hanoi

Participants will receive comprehensive health checks through a streamlined one-stop process, including blood pressure measurement, height and weight assessment, BMI and cardiovascular risk evaluation, blood tests, general examinations and specialist consultations in internal medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics, ophthalmology, ENT, dentistry and oncology. Rapid blood glucose testing and biochemical screening will also be conducted to detect diabetes and metabolic disorders.
