Foreign investors will keep injecting billions of USD into Vietnam, according to Germany ’s EMFIS.com.
The country will continue to receive foreign investors’ consideration thanks to its continued modernisation and urbanisation and improved living condition of people, it said.
According to the website, Vietnam made a strong growth in 2009, however, inflation rate is still high.
The website cited Vietnam ’s VN-Index rise of 8 percent, the highest in Asia since the beginning of the year, on Jan. 14 as an example of the stock market’s development that resulted in a very low benchmark index (Leitindex).
In the fourth quarter of 2009, the Leitindex was under 1.9 percent, the lowest in Asia , it said.
The recovery of the stock market is thanks to the Government’s loosening stock transaction and the suspension of public gold trading until the end of March, 2010.
In addition, the country GDP growth rate increased 5.32 percent despite the financial crisis.
Economic recovery can also be seen in a surge in money supply. In 2009, banks’ credits rose by 38 percent compared to 2008, especially in construction sector, thus helping support the domestic economy./.
