Vietnam reports 4,899 new COVID-19 cases

Vietnam recorded 4,899 infections of COVID-19, including 10 imported cases, on October 29, according to the Ministry of Health.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam recorded 4,899 infections of COVID-19,including 10 imported cases, on October 29, according to the Ministry ofHealth. 

Ho Chi Minh City recorded the highest number of infections with 977, followedby neighbouring provinces of Dong Nai and Binh Duong each with 697.

The national tally now stands at 910,376.

According to the Ministry of Health’s report, 2,990 patients nationwideare in serious conditions, with 312 requiring invasive ventilation and 19 onlife support (ECMO).

On the day, the country saw 56 deaths from thedisease. The death toll now hits 21,966.

A further 2,169 patients were given the all-clear,taking the total number of recoveries to 816,132.
 
By October 29, the country had injected over 78.90million doses of vaccines to date, with more than 23.36million people now fully inoculated./.
