Hanoi, (VNA) – The Health Ministry has announced the 48th case of COVID-19 in the country, a 31-year-old man in Ho Chi Minh City.

The patient rode in the same car with patient No 45th and together with No. 45th met with patient No. 34th in Binh Thuan province.

On March 11 morning, after the announcement of the 34th case, the man was instructed to take quarantine at home. On March 13, he was transferred to a quarantine facility and had samples taken for test. The city’s Pasteur Institute confirmed he tested positive for the coronavirus this morning.

The patient has not shown any symptom and his health is stable.

So far eight persons having close contact with the 34th case have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2.

The first 16 COVID-19 in Vietnam have been completely cured. The remaining cases are receiving treatment in hospital and their health conditions are showing positive signs./.
