During the meeting, Thanh spoke highly of the friendship and cooperation between the two countries in recent years, especially in the environment, bio-diversity, climate change, and hydrometeorology.

He suggested the Korean side support Vietnam in mobilising social resources to prevent, control and reduce environmental pollution in some rivers; and in building a database on water resources, and real-time monitoring and early warning systems in river basins.

For his part, Minister Kum said the RoK is willing to support Vietnam in dealing with environmental pollution, reducing greenhouse emissions, and adapting to climate change./.
